Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director, Health, Safety, Environment (& Quality) (HSEQ) will provide leadership, counsel, guidance, direction, and stewardship in advancing FRPD’s strategic and operational objectives as they relate to occupational health, workplace safety, environmental compliance, and potentially quality management and regulatory performance depending on the candidate’s skill set.



The Director will lead a multidisciplinary HSEQ team of 10 and build upon an already strong safety culture and existing operational foundation, while helping the business mature its systems, improve utilization of data, and drive consistent implementation and quality execution across projects and the organization.

The Director, HSEQ will be responsible for elevating the HSEQ function from a strong operational base to a more mature, data-driven and integrated management system. This includes strengthening enterprise-wide systems and processes, improving document control and quality practices, advancing environmental compliance and reporting, leveraging technology and historical data, and ensuring projects operate within a clear, consistent management framework. As a result of an upcoming retirement, FRPD is seeking their new Director to be a credible, proactive and solutions-oriented leader who can build trust at all levels, communicate the “why” behind initiatives, and translate strategy into sustained, consistent implementation.

You are an accomplished health and safety executive with deep experience within construction, marine, infrastructure or project-based industrial environments. Combining strategic vision with strong operational judgement and critical thinking, you bring a comprehensive understanding of health, safety,



environmental management systems, regulatory frameworks, stakeholder relations and ideally quality management systems, as well. You are a collaborative and credible leader who excels at building relationships across all levels of an organization, translating complex requirements into practical solutions and driving measurable improvements in performance.

Equally comfortable in executive discussions and operational environments, you possess the leadership presence, resilience and commitment required to champion a best-in-class culture of safety, environmental responsibility and quality excellence.

The compensation for this role is $200,000 + 30% target bonus.
