Pinchin is seeking a strategic and experienced Director, Total Rewards Canada to lead our strategy surrounding compensation, benefits, incentives across Canada.

Job Overview

This newly created role reports to the Chief People Officer and will lead Pinchin’s total rewards strategy across Canada. The Director will oversee compensation, benefits, incentives, compliance, market benchmarking and vendor optimization to ensure programs are competitive and aligned with Pinchin’s business and people priorities.

What You’ll Do

- Develop and lead an integrated compensation and benefits strategy aligned with Pinchin’s growth and workforce priorities.
- Establish compensation governance, including job architecture, salary structures, job evaluation and compensation decision guidelines.
- Lead base pay, incentive and annual compensation planning programs including maintaining compliance with prevailing legislation.
- Conduct market benchmarking and provide analytics that support informed workforce and financial decisions.
- Oversee employee benefits, retirement and wellness programmes across Canada
- Manage compensation and benefits vendors, consultants and survey providers, ensuring strong service, value and cost effectiveness.
- Strengthen how Pinchin defines and communicates its employee value proposition respecting total rewards.
- Advise senior leaders on compensation, benefits, compliance, market competitiveness and emerging total rewards risks.




- Support acquisitions, organizational growth and the integration of new employee groups as it relates to Total Rewards.
- Develop scalable processes and tools that promote fair, consistent and defensible rewards decisions.

What You Bring

- University degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline; with a relevant Total Rewards certification is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits People & Culture discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing compensation and benefits strategies in a complex, multi-location organization.
- Strong knowledge of market benchmarking, experience in implementing salary structure design, job evaluation, incentives, compliance to pay equity and compensation analytics.
- Experience overseeing benefit and retirement programs, managing vendor relationships and ensuring plan optimization.
- The ability to translate complex data into transparent, practical recommendations for leaders.
- Strong business, financial and consulting skills, with the ability to influence people at all levels across a collaborative organization.
- Experience supporting employee populations across multiple Canadian provinces is required.




- Experience in partnerships, professional services, consulting, engineering, environmental services, construction or another technical, project-based industry is highly preferred.

- Experience supporting acquisitions or workforce integration is preferred.
