ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton is seeking a hands-on, experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting directly to the Field Supervisor, the Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, and administrative oversight of dispatch. The Dispatch Coordinator works closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to coordinate emergency, rebuild, and scheduled dispatch activities.

Responsibilities

- Dispatch crews daily based on work orders and instructions provided by Project Managers and Project Coordinators, ensuring work is completed according to project requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate appointments and bookings with homeowners to ensure scheduling aligns with project timelines and completion requirements.
- Organize on-call and weekend work to support project deadlines and meet claim requirements.
- Track work authorizations and ensure required approvals are received prior to work commencing.
- Coordinate with the Contents Coordinator to ensure contents move-backs are scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and follow up on issues related to damages that occur on job sites, ensuring concerns are communicated to the appropriate Project Manager or Coordinator for resolution.
- Provide support and information to Project Managers regarding fire and flood claims, including answering questions related to job status, crew assignments, scheduling, and field activities.
- Coordinate out-of-town jobs with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, field crews, and property owners to ensure schedules, resources, and logistical requirements are aligned.
- Monitor daily dispatch schedules and make adjustments as required to address changing priorities, job requirements, crew availability, and emergency calls.
- Communicate schedule changes, job priorities,



and operational updates to crews and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to Dispatch personnel, ensuring dispatch activities are organized, documented, and completed efficiently.
- Other tasks assigned as required.

Requirements

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, coordination, or a related operational role.
- Experience working in a restoration, construction, emergency services, or similar fast-paced environment is considered an asset.
- Robust understanding of scheduling, resource allocation, and coordinating multiple priorities.
- Experience working with work orders, job documentation, authorizations, and other operational paperwork.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, field crews, homeowners, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and time-sensitive work.
- Ability to make sound decisions and adjust schedules and resources as operational needs change.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning and working with company-specific software and systems.
- Experience with restoration-related terminology, claims, water and fire losses, or insurance processes is considered an asset.
