ECE Assistants NEED NOT APPLY*

This opportunity is for an ECE who is able to manage the centre while the current Manager is on maternity leave, which is expected to be approximately 18 months. There may be further opportunities available for a successful candidate after the Manager returns; however, for now, this is a temporary relief position to cover the current Manager’s maternity leave.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting children's development, and working closely with individuals with diverse needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives through engaging and supportive instruction.

Duties

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to individual needs and developmental stages
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure each child's well-being and progress
- Monitor and document children's growth, behavior, and learning milestones
- Facilitate activities that promote social,



emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment in compliance with safety standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices

Skills

- Prior classroom experience preferred, especially working with children with disabilities or special needs
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members
- Compassionate caregiving approach with patience and adaptability
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles
- Experience in teaching or caregiving roles is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80.0 per week
