Join our agile Pediatric Cardiology clinic as an Echo Technician specializing in Pediatrics! In this vital role, you will perform high-quality echocardiograms on pediatric patients, provide reporting, and assist the pediatric cardiologist in diagnosing heart conditions. Your expertise will contribute to improving our patients’ health outcomes through precise imaging and compassionate care.

Duties

- Operate an Echo Ultrasound machine (Phillips Epic) to capture detailed images of the heart’s structure and function specific to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Ensure that all imaging procedures meet clinical standards and are completed efficiently for timely diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate patient images and records through a dedicated PACS and EMR.
- Provide reporting using a dedicated PACS templates which incorporate Boston Z-scores for measurements.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control guidelines during all procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning, comfort,



and emotional support to reduce anxiety during exams

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Pediatric Echo Technician
- Appropriate training as per established regulations.
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Certification by Sonography Canada or equivalent (eg: ARDMS).
- Experience/ qualification in reading Holter reports is highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills and tender personality to to explain procedures clearly and comfort young patients and their families.
- Ability to operate the Echo machine with precision and attention to details.
- Compassionate demeanor with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week

Education

- DCS / DEC (required)

Experience:
- Pediatric Echo: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
- CMRTO registration (required)
- certification from Sonography Canada/ ARDMS (required)
