Assignment:

- Part time 0.50 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Scheduled days are TDB, dependent on the successful candidates availability
- Supporting neurodivergent students in their individual learning and personal goals within the Lifeskills program
- Assisting classroom, teachers in implementing modified learning plans, behavioral support strategies, and functional life skills activities
- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year

Qualifications and/or Assets:

- Experience working with students with complex needs
- Knowledge of speech and behavior modification strategies would be considered an asset
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Expereince working in a Lifeskills program would be considered an asset
- Ability to foster a safe, inclusive,



and encouraging environment that promotes student independence and confidence
- Ability to provide one-on-one and group supports tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialized staff, and families to support student success
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- Calm and patient approach to solving problems
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment
- Ability to work one on one with a student in an inclusive environment
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset
