Daniel et Daniel Catering & Events, Toronto’s premier caterer is seeking a talented and passionate Baker to join our skilled and agile team.

Daniel et Daniel operates in Toronto’s most exclusive venues including Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, Toronto Botanical Gardens, Steam Whistle Brewery, The Royal Conservatory of Music, The Royal Ontario Museum and many more.

Key Responsibilities

- Proofing, finishing, baking croissants.
- Production of breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, buns, muffins, cookies.
- Measure/weigh ingredients with precision
- Scale recipes based on production needs to yield sufficient product while minimizing food waste.
- Prepare a range of breakfast and savory items such as parfait, fruit trays, quiche, spanakopita and pizza.
- Tray, package, and label pastry items.
- Ensure quality of products meet established standards.




- Keep a tidy workspace and work in an organized fashion.
- Able to work both alone and in a team.

Requirements

- Ability to work under strict deadlines and meet client expectations
- Knowledge of general baking principles and understanding of a wide variety of recipes
- Excellent knowledge of safety, health rules, and quality controls
- Excellent understanding of imperial systems and metrics of measurements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to assist in the day-to-day operations within the bakery

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $20.00 per hour
