Job Posting: Full-Time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) for Toddler and Preschool Rooms

We are currently seeking 2 experienced, dedicated, full-time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in the Toddler and Preschool Rooms.

Educational Requirements:

- College/CEGEP Education
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in ECE

Credentials & Certifications:

- CCEYA Self-Test
- Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
- Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an early childhood education setting

Security & Safety Requirements:

- Medical Exam
- Immunization Records & Tuberculosis Test
- Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Physically demanding work, including manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling

Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and “How Does Learning Happen?”
- Understand licensing regulations and ensure compliance
- Develop and implement child-care programs that foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Lead educational activities, including storytelling,



teaching songs, and organizing local excursions
- Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities
- Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- Observe children for potential learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment to support the health, security, and well-being of children
- Assess and discuss children's progress, needs, and interests with parents and staff
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
