Superior Roofing Ltd. is looking for an experienced Exterior Estimator & Procurement Specialist to join our growing team.

This is a key position within our organization, not simply an estimating or purchasing role. This person will have a direct impact on which projects we pursue, how accurately they are estimated, how effectively materials are purchased, and ultimately how profitable our projects are.

As we continue expanding our exterior and building-envelope divisions, we need someone who can take ownership of the process from drawings and specifications through estimating, supplier pricing, procurement and project handoff.

The Role

You will work closely with our estimating, project management, production and accounting teams to ensure exterior projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced and properly procured before construction begins.

Your responsibilities will include

- Prepare detailed estimates for exterior, siding and building-envelope projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Review drawings and specifications to identify complete project scopes
- Estimate Hardie/fibre cement, ACM/metal panels, metal siding, soffit, fascia, cladding, insulation, air/vapour barriers, waterproofing and related exterior systems
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, conflicts and potential change-order opportunities
- Prepare and issue RFIs when drawings or specifications require clarification
- Obtain and compare pricing from multiple suppliers and subcontractors




- Prepare detailed material lists and procurement packages
- Negotiate supplier pricing, lead times and purchasing terms
- Issue and manage material purchase requirements in accordance with company PO procedures
- Coordinate material requirements with project managers and production
- Monitor long-lead materials and ensure procurement aligns with construction schedules
- Assist with value engineering and alternative material selections
- Maintain current supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Track estimated material costs against actual purchasing costs
- Support project handoffs from estimating into production
- Help develop standardized estimating, purchasing and cost-control systems
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and subcontractors

Why This Position Matters Our exterior division is working on increasingly larger, more complex multifamily and commercial projects. On projects of this scale, small estimating or purchasing mistakes can have a significant impact on profitability.

This position will act as an important control point between estimating and production.

We want someone who understands that procurement isn’t simply placing orders. The objective is to ensure we are buying the correct materials, at the correct quantities,



at the best available pricing, and at the right time for the project.

The successful candidate will have the authority and responsibility to challenge pricing, identify scope gaps, improve purchasing strategies and help protect project margins.

What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate has experience in commercial construction, exterior systems, roofing, cladding or building-envelope estimating/procurement.

You should be highly organized, commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership of large scopes.

Solid candidates will have experience with construction drawings and specifications, quantity takeoffs, supplier negotiations, tendering, cost analysis, RFIs, purchase orders and project handoffs.

Experience with multifamily, commercial, high-rise or large-scale exterior projects is considered a major asset.
