Facilities Operations Assistant Competition 2026 782 Position Status Regular Full time 10 FTE EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Facilities Operations Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care About EFW EFW Radiology owns and operates eleven community based clinics providing Diagnostic Imaging Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pain Management services Our Core Values Compassion Treat everyone with care kindness and respectTrust Demonstrate empathy and understanding while partnering with patients caregivers communities and each otherMeaning Contribute to the well being of our communities through healthcare innovation education and careersThe Role Reporting to the Facilities Manager the Facilities Operations Assistant is responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of EFW clinical and administrative facilities This ensures that all EFW Radiology facilities are well maintained and shine providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff Key Responsibilities Identifying maintenance risks and performing repairsResponding promptly and effectively to emergency maintenance repair requests as assignedIdentify maintenance risks on equipmentPurchase materials for work orders as required in accordance with EFWs procurement policyCollaborate with internal team members external contractors to see a work order to completion and assist with queriesRecord all maintenance updates and outcomes in the maintenance ticketing systemBe a brand ambassador when dealing with internal customers and external vendorsIdentifying areas to improve systems and processes which impact how EFW facilities operate and their appearanceSupport health and safety initiativesEnsure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety ActComply with service standards work instructions and customers requirementsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulationsArrange and adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW our patients and our employeesUndertake other related duties as assignedThe Facilities Operations Assistant will be assigned to a combination of the following functional areas The Functional areas may be re assigned from time to time to support Facilities team members and the operational requirements of the Facilities department Primarily perform general building maintenance and repairs that include but are not limited toPainting drywall millwork flooring tilingBasic carpentry doors trim and signageAssisting in performing preventative maintenance and repairs that include but are not limited toHVAC chillers hot water tanks boilers etcPlumbing electrical workEquipment monitoringYou have the following High School Diploma GED or suitable equivalentRelevant technical training in maintenance construction andor mechanical systems will be an assetHands on experience with power hand tools and woodworking equipment table saw skill saw drills etc will be an assetExperience with commercial buildings and new construction will be an assetProficient in reading schematics and work plansBasic knowledge and understanding in various areas such as operations in property maintenance healthcare setting technical services HVAC asset or property facilities plumbing electrical work framing and drywallWell organized with the ability to multi task and maintain high accuracy in detailed informationMotivated self starter who can work independently and in a teamSound judgement and the ability to think quickly during emergenciesProfessional demeanor and ability to work in a quick paced environmentKnowledge of materials methods and the tools involved in constructing or repairing commercial buildings or other structuresAwareness of OH&S; policies and safe work proceduresOrganized individual who can work under stress meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate with all levels of EFW personnelWorking Conditions The successful candidate will need to provide their own vehicle and valid drivers license to perform work at all EFW clinic locationsLifting up to 227 kg on a regular basis;
