About the Role
DryerGuard Vent Solutions is looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Service Technician to join our growing team on a part-time basis.
As a Service Technician, you will travel to residential and commercial customer locations to perform dryer vent cleaning and maintenance services. You will be responsible for completing each job safely and professionally while providing customers with a positive experience from start to finish.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with customers, and working in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform qualified dryer vent cleaning services at residential and commercial properties
- Inspect dryer vent systems and identify lint buildup, blockages, and airflow concerns
- Use company-provided equipment and follow established cleaning procedures
- Explain the dryer vent cleaning process clearly to customers before and during the service
- Answer customer questions and provide professional recommendations when appropriate
- Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional attitude with every customer
- Focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers are satisfied with the completed work
- Take required before-and-after photos and complete job documentation
- Maintain accurate service records and follow company procedures
- Keep the company vehicle and equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Follow all applicable safety procedures while working at customer locations
What We're Looking For
- Previous customer-facing or customer service experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable speaking with customers and explaining services clearly
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in residential and commercial environments
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physically capable of performing hands-on work, including climbing ladders and working in different positions
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to represent the company professionally at customer locations
Customer Service Is Important We are looking for someone who understands that the job is about more than simply cleaning a dryer vent.
You will be interacting directly with customers and representing our company at their homes and businesses. The ideal candidate knows how to communicate professionally, make customers feel comfortable, explain the work being performed, and leave customers satisfied with their experience.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule.
The weekly schedule will be provided based on available appointments and business requirements. Some flexibility with availability is required, including the possibility of weekend appointments.
Company Vehicle Provided A company van will be provided for work-related travel and service appointments. All necessary equipment for performing dryer vent cleaning services will also be provided.
