At Braid, we believe great customer experiences start with great people and great processes. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Finance & Administration Manager who can provide leadership, financial oversight, and administrative support while helping us continuously improve how we operate.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper, accounting professional, or finance administrator who enjoys both the financial and operational side of a business. While a CPA designation is not required, strong accounting knowledge, leadership ability, and technology skills are essential.
The Role The Finance & Administration Manager will oversee the company's accounting and administrative functions while providing leadership to our administrative team. This role works closely with the General Manager to ensure financial accuracy, strong cash flow management, effective internal processes, and a positive workplace culture.
The successful candidate is equally comfortable reviewing financial statements, mentoring staff, solving system issues, and stepping in to help with day-to-day bookkeeping when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Complete month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare GST and PST filings
- Process payroll
- Coordinate year-end reviews with external accountants
- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and timely
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Support financial reporting and business performance analysis
Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow
- Oversee Accounts Receivable processes
- Monitor overdue accounts and collection activities
- Resolve escalated customer payment issues and disputes
- Work with customers, sales, and operations teams to collect outstanding balances
- Help maintain healthy cash flow through effective receivables management
Administration & Team Leadership
- Supervise and support administrative team members (2)
- Payroll and benefits administration
- Manage insurance administration, including subcontractor compliance requirements
- Oversee office supplies, equipment, and administrative systems
- Oversee and coordinate company events and administrative initiatives
- Help establish efficient processes and accountability within the administration team
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Learn and become proficient in RFMS ERP software
- Work closely with the General Manager on process improvements
- Troubleshoot administrative, financial, and system-related issues
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process changes
- Participate in future ERP evaluation and implementation projects
- Support future IT and systems oversight as the role evolves
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance administration, or a related role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with payroll administration
- Advanced computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience supervising or leading staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
