Role Description The First Aid Instructor is a contract, remote role responsible for delivering high-quality first aid training to clients across various industries. The instructor will plan and facilitate virtual or hybrid training sessions, ensuring that course content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational health and safety standards. Daily activities include preparing training materials, instructing participants in first aid principles and techniques, demonstrating best practices for emergency response,



and assessing learner understanding through questions, scenarios, and evaluations.

The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of first aid guidelines, providing clear communication to participants, and submitting timely reports or records of completed training sessions. The instructor collaborates with Workplace Medical Corp. staff to schedule courses and support clients’ broader absence prevention and workplace safety initiatives.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in First Aid and First Aid Training, with current certification from a recognized provider.
- Experience in Training and Teaching, including planning lessons, facilitating group learning, and assessing participant progress.
- Robust Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to diverse audiences.
- Previous experience as a health and safety trainer, first responder, or related role is an asset.
- Comfort with remote delivery methods and basic proficiency with online meeting and learning platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and adapt instruction to client needs and regulatory standards.
- Relevant post-secondary education in health sciences, education, occupational health and safety, or equivalent experience is beneficial.
