Join our dynamic team as a Fleet & Equipment Repair & Maintenance Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and optimizing our diverse fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of light weight and heavy weight trucks, as well as a variety of construction equipment to ensure peak performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellence in every project.

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, including DITCH WITCH, VERMEER, JOHN DEERE and more.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on both fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Must have clean driving record, with a minimal class G license and willing to commute to different job sites within the GTA, Kitchener/Cambridge, Hanover/Owen Sound region using our mobile fleet maintenance vehicle when needed to provide emergency assistance.
- Utilize welding skills to repair or fabricate parts as needed for various machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.




- Operate heavy equipment safely during testing or troubleshooting procedures to verify repairs or diagnose issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality expectations while delivering excellent customer service.
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics interpretation, welding techniques, and power tools operation is required.
- Familiarity with Vermeer, John Deere, Ditch Witch or other major heavy equipment brands enhances your ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or assembly tasks.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding maintenance needs or repair status.
