Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and energetic Part-Time Server to join our team at our Japanese AYCE restaurant. The ideal candidate will have previous restaurant serving experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced and busy environment.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests and provide friendly and professional service throughout their dining experience
- Explain the AYCE menu, ordering procedures, and restaurant policies to guests
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system
- Ensure orders are communicated accurately and served in a timely manner
- Monitor tables and check on guests regularly to ensure their needs are met
- Clear used plates, dishes, and glassware efficiently throughout the meal
- Refill water and beverages and provide additional items as requested
- Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations when needed
- Monitor AYCE orders and communicate with the kitchen to ensure smooth and timely service
- Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy periods
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean,



and ready for the next guests
- Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit/debit transactions
- Follow restaurant service procedures, food safety standards, and company policies
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other restaurant duties as required

Qualifications
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant workplace is an asset
- Fluent in English with strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain menu items and restaurant policies clearly to guests
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced and busy AYCE restaurant
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Smart Serve certification is required
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
