Overview of Position: To assist in the forging process and perform other duties to support the forge department

Responsibilities:

- Produce forgings per Patriot Forge process specifications
- Load furnaces
- Maintain standard housekeeping (5S)
- Grease manipulators
- Perform safety checks and other preventative maintenance duties
- Perform material handling tasks as necessary
- Measure forged product
- Operate mobile manipulators
- Shovel scale
- Grind material to remove defects
- Repair forging tools using grinder
- Comply with H&S; management program and policies

Experience:

- High school diploma required




- Previous industrial experience, preferably in a foundry or steel industry
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects
- Previous experience grinding is an asset
- Aware of hot forging principles an asset
- Familiar with Forge safety an asset
- Good command of the English language both written and verbal
- Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
