JOB TITLE: Forklift Operator - Double Walkie

SHIFT: Monday - Friday - 2:30 pm until 11:00 pm - with flexibility to work over-time when needed

WAGE: $20.50/hour - with an additional $1.50/hour afternoon shift premium

TRANSPORTATION: The facility is not transit accessible, so candidates must have reliable transportation.

Summary

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Material Handler is responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks using a RF and voice pick system and various material handling equipment. Follows best practice processes to ensure we are efficient, accurate, and provide quality and on-time orders for our customers.

Responsibilities

- The material handler plays an important role in meeting customer agreements which include productivity, accuracy, and service level.
- Responsible for the handling of product for various operational processes, including receiving, order picking, shipping, and inventory control.
- This position requires the operation of material handling equipment, the use of RF technology, and the ability to perform physical tasks as part of daily job responsibilities.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures to ensure quality and consistency is achieved.
- Completes material handling tasks as presented on the RF and voice pick system, scanning where possible to avoid manual keying.




- Participates in inventory activities including physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Moves empty pallets, depositing them at the designated pallet holding location.
- Keeps the warehouse clean, orderly, and free from obstructions, with all debris placed in proper containers or designated areas.
- Operates equipment and completes tasks in a manner consistent with company Health & Safety policies.
- Demonstrates respect for the organization’s values, while maintaining and upholding company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience

- Two (2) years warehouse experience, with one year’s operating material handling equipment (MHE) with a proven track record for safety.
- Previous experience with RF based Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Red Prairie or Blue Yonder

EDUCATION

- Some high school, completion of secondary school diploma preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS

- Experience and certification driving a Walkie or double Walkie.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Able to commit to a versatile work schedule, including overtime and weekends when required.
- Works 100% of their time on the warehouse floor, walking, standing, and bending.
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly and safely.
