About the Opportunity

We are building a premium online MCAT preparation company primarily serving students throughout the United States.

We are looking for an exceptional MCAT scorer and talented educator who can initially help develop and teach the curriculum, with the potential to become the long-term academic and operational leader of the company.

The business founder will be responsible for funding, marketing, student acquisition, business development, automation, finance and administrative systems. You will initially be responsible for academic quality, curriculum development, teaching methodology and student outcomes.

This is not an unpaid "work for equity" position. The selected candidate will be compensated during the initial development and pilot stages. If we work effectively together and achieve agreed-upon milestones, there may be an opportunity to earn equity and become a long-term business partner.

Responsibilities

- Design a structured and engaging MCAT curriculum
- Develop original lesson plans, study schedules, presentations and educational resources
- Record clear and engaging instructional videos
- Help develop original practice questions and detailed answer explanations
- Create systems for monitoring student progress and identifying weaknesses
- Participate in live online classes or student-support sessions
- Help recruit and train additional instructors as the company grows
- Maintain high standards of academic accuracy and teaching quality
- Work collaboratively with the founder on course positioning and student experience




- Meet agreed-upon development deadlines consistently

Qualifications

- Official MCAT score of at least 518; 520 or higher is strongly preferred
- Ability to provide reasonable verification of the official score if shortlisted
- Strong understanding of MCAT content, strategy, timing and test-taking methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to explain difficult concepts simply
- Reliable, organized and capable of working independently
- Comfortable appearing in recorded lessons and potentially live classes
- Located in the Greater Toronto Area and available for occasional in-person meetings
- Previous tutoring, teaching, curriculum-development or content-creation experience is preferred
- Current or former medical students are strongly encouraged to apply

Intellectual-Property Standards All course materials must be original or appropriately licensed. Candidates must not copy, reproduce or repurpose protected questions or materials belonging to the AAMC, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Blueprint or other third-party providers.

Shortlisted candidates will complete an interview and a compensated teaching-and-curriculum exercise. Long-Term Prospect The initial relationship will be paid and performance-based. A successful candidate who demonstrates teaching excellence, reliability, leadership and genuine commitment may be offered a larger academic leadership role and a structured pathway to earn ownership in the business.

Pay: $45.00-$75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
