We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team.

The Front Desk Agent plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience from arrival through departure. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, completing check-ins and check-outs, assisting with reservations, answering questions, resolving guest concerns, and helping ensure the front desk operates smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, be comfortable working in a busy environment, and be able to handle several tasks at the same time while maintaining a professional and welcoming attitude.

Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred. Experience with customer service, hospitality, retail, or another guest-facing position will also be considered.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
- Process payments, deposits, parking charges, and other guest transactions
- Assist guests with reservations, room information, hotel amenities, and general questions
- Answer incoming telephone calls and provide professional assistance
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a calm and professional manner
- Work with supervisors and managers when additional assistance is required
- Provide guests with information about local attractions, restaurants, transportation, and the Niagara Falls area
- Maintain accurate guest profiles, reservation information, notes, and billing details
- Communicate important guest requests and information to housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments
- Follow hotel procedures related to guest privacy, security, payments, and room access
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
- Assist with basic administrative duties and front desk paperwork
- Monitor guest activity and report safety, security,



or maintenance concerns when required
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Support other team members and departments when required to provide a positive guest experience

Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette
- Ability to remain calm and qualified when handling guest complaints or difficult situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel reservation and property management systems
- Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred
- Previous customer service experience is considered an asset
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are considered an asset
- Reliable and punctual with a professional appearance and attitude
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
