Position Summary

As the FOH Supervisor, you'll be the backbone of our front-of-house operations. From opening the doors in the morning to closing them at night, you'll lead the team on the floor, maintain our high service and quality standards, and keep everything running smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely cares about their team and their craft.

Key Responsibilities

Open and close the bakery:

Set up and shut down equipment, displays, tills, and ensure the space is secure at the end of the day.

Lead the floor

Supervise FOH staff throughout the shift, ensuring speed, quality, and customer service standards are met.

Manage the shift

Assign roles, manage breaks, and maintain an efficient workflow from start to finish.

Maintain standards

Ensure FOH cleanliness, appealing displays, and consistent product presentation at all times.

Handle guest relations

Address complaints or special requests with professionalism and escalate to a Manager when needed.

Monitor inventory

Keep track of stock levels (milk, coffee, takeaway supplies) and communicate with BOH regarding low stock or special orders.

Support cash handling

Ensure proper till usage during the day and cash out at closing.

Train and develop

Support and train new hires, brief staff on new products or changes, and encourage a positive team atmosphere.

Leadership

Set the tone for the team by leading with professionalism, energy, and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous supervisory or team lead experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced environment is a plus.

Robust barista skills with a solid understanding of espresso preparation, milk techniques, and coffee culture.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and keep operations running smoothly.

Quick thinking and practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Additional barista or hospitality training is a plus.

Work Conditions

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Comfortable working in a high-paced, dynamic environment.

Willingness to assist in all aspects of front-of-house and bakery operations when needed.
