Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with 5–8 years of professional software development experience to join a global Markets Technology team focused on OTC Derivatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, SQL, data structures, algorithms, and modern software development practices.

The role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting high-quality enterprise applications while working closely with product teams, business users, and technology stakeholders. The candidate should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a robust engineering culture.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant professional software development experience.
- Strong experience in application development, systems analysis, and programming.
- Hands-on experience delivering and implementing successful software projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and changing requirements.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Experience working in fast-paced and rapidly changing environments.
- Experience with consulting and project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications supporting business requirements.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Develop robust, scalable, secure,



and high-quality software solutions using Java and modern frameworks.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Spring.
- Analyze complex technical and business problems and recommend effective technology solutions.
- Work closely with product teams, business users, and other technology groups to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical estimates for development efforts.
- Monitor and control application development activities across analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation phases.
- Provide application support and troubleshoot production issues for business users.
- Apply TDD, clean code principles, software design patterns, and development best practices.
- Implement appropriate security measures and ensure applications meet organizational standards.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture/design activities.
- Follow established development, operational, security, and compliance procedures.
- Assess technology and operational risks and escalate control issues appropriately.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and less-experienced developers.
- Act as a subject matter expert and technical advisor to team members and senior stakeholders.

Required Skills





- 5–8 years of hands-on professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with JavaScript and/or React.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience following Test-Driven Development (TDD) and clean code principles.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
- Experience with application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in investment banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives or Markets Technology.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Experience with Amazon S3.
- Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL technologies.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native application architecture.
- Experience working in global technology teams.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
