Join the University of Ottawa's Archives and Special Collections as an Archivist II, a full time role based in Morisset Hall. Your work will focus on the integrated management and preservation of valuable collections. As an Archivist II, you will manage and enhance archives and special collections.
This role requires a graduate degree and a minimum of three years' related experience to oversee archives, while facilitating access and providing support to the academic community. Your contributions will involve organizing details of the collections and ensuring they meet preservation guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and describe archival materials for accessibility
- Implement management procedures for collections
- Serve as a reference resource for faculty and students
- Develop strategies for preservation of unique assets
- Engage in community outreach and awareness programs Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Archival Studies or Library Science
- Minimum of 3 years experience within an archival context
- Familiar with relevant archival standards and software
- Strong writing and communication skills in both languages
