Transdev Canada is hiring Full-Time Coach Drivers to join our Kitimat team!

As an Industrial Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers following designated routes and schedules. You will help ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times. Adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific requirements is essential in this role.

Your role

- Safely operate coach vehicles within an industrial setting, transporting passengers to and from worksites.

- Follow designated routes, schedules, site procedures, and all applicable safety requirements.

- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, complete required paperwork, and promptly report any mechanical or safety concerns.

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers and maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle interior on a daily basis.

- Complete and submit written reports related to passengers, delays, mechanical issues, accidents, incidents, and other operational matters.

- Communicate effectively with Dispatch regarding route changes, delays, incidents, or other operational requirements.

- Comply with company policies, applicable legislation, and industrial site safety procedures.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Your profile





- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 driver's licence with Air Brake endorsement.

- Minimum two years of experience driving coaches/buses or operating vehicles in an industrial setting.

- Clean and acceptable driving record.

- Ability to successfully complete a criminal record check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check where required.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

- Strong safety awareness and the ability to follow established procedures and site requirements.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with Dispatch and the team.

- Minimum 21 years of age.

Location and schedule

- Location: Kitimat, BC – 780 Lahakas Blvd, Kitimat, BC V8C 1T9

- This is a full-time, unionized position.

- Candidates must be local residents of Kitimat.

- Camp accommodation and flights are not provided for this position.

- Average of 40 hours per week.

- The position operates on a rotating/split schedule, which may include early morning, afternoon/evening, weekend, and/or statutory holiday shifts based on operational requirements.

- Employees must be available to work varying shifts in accordance with the applicable schedule and collective agreement.
