T.J.Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists is wanting to add a new team member to our Beechville location. We are looking for an energetic, self-directed individual who has developed an organized and responsible approach to any task undertaken. Accountable, takes ownership and has a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the organization.

The position summary outlined below includes but is not limited to the following duties:

All duties will be under the direction of Licensed Funeral Staff and performed within the Funeral Services Regulations.

· As part of the team assist in the organization, cleanliness of the funeral home by consistent tidying, garbage disposal, and dusting and maintain a clean and usable bathroom space by frequent replenishing of supplies

· As part of the team, greet, and direct visitors.

· Provide support within the crematorium, assisting Funeral Director where needed including be able to process digital records, update files, utilize Microsoft Word and internal email.

· Ensure the outside property of the funeral home is free from debris, grounds are kept neat and tidy and entry ways are swept, including during winter months keeping doorways free from ice and snow.

· Assists on in-house and off-site services including greeting guests, handing out bulletins, hosting duties when needed

· Transporting grave gear/greens to and from cemetery and set-up when needed

· Setup and clean up for services as per the policies and procedures

· Reception setup and clean up, making tea, coffee, water and replenishing as needed





· Maintain confidentiality in business practices, and treat information shared by those we serve with discretion, and integrity.

· Assisting with removal of deceased from hospitals, homes, nursing homes, hospices, and other healthcare facilities using proper procedures ensuring they are completed with the utmost dignity and respect

· Clean vehicles after each use, inside, and outside as needed

· Maintain vehicles by scheduling oil changes and other upkeep when needed

Requirements and Qualifications of the successful candidate: You will be an individual who has genuine empathy and compassion for others, has emotional fortitude, organized, has an attention to detail and the ability to adapt and change priorities quickly based on the needs of our Funeral Directors and families we serve. A positive attitude is a must. Willing to learn, take direction and feedback to gain a better understanding of our industry and the processes and procedures we follow.

You will be required to have the ability to push & pull up to 150lbs on flat and/or inclined surface, will hold a valid drivers license, has a clean drivers abstract and be legally entitled to work in Canada. This position is part-time with a guarantee of 24 hours per week. A set schedule will be determined, however flexibility and availability to include more hours (including some evenings and weekends) may be necessary as business needs require.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
