Handyman / Handywoman – General Property Maintenance

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and hands-on Handyman / Handywoman to assist with the general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of residential and/or commercial properties.

The ideal candidate is a versatile problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, is comfortable working independently, and can handle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. This position will involve everything from minor repairs and painting to drywall, trim work, installations, preventative maintenance, and general property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general repairs and maintenance throughout properties.
- Complete drywall repairs, patching, sanding, and finishing.
- Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-ups.
- Install and repair trim, baseboards, doors, hardware, shelving, and other fixtures.
- Assemble and install cabinets, furniture, fixtures, and other property components.
- Perform minor carpentry and woodworking tasks.
- Repair or replace damaged flooring, caulking, fixtures, and other finishes.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical maintenance where appropriately qualified and permitted.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical repair solutions.
- Complete preventative maintenance and routine property inspections.
- Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Maintain a clean, qualified, and safe working environment.




- Perform other general maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in property maintenance, construction, renovations, handyman work, or a related trade is an asset but not required for the right person.
- Strong practical knowledge of general building maintenance and repair.
- Experience with painting, drywall, carpentry, trim work, and installations.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Physically capable of lifting materials, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and performing hands-on work for extended periods.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation is an asset.

Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
