Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of our manufacturing and facilities infrastructure. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.

You will collaborate with team members, supervise maintenance activities when needed, and utilize your technical skills to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Duties

- Assist in performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems
- Support electrical work including wiring, troubleshooting circuits, and reading schematics
- Conduct welding tasks for repairs or fabrication projects as required
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for equipment control and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards are met




- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from production teams
- Support leadership in coordinating scheduled maintenance activities and emergency repairs

Experience

- Proven supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities workplace is highly desirable
- Hands-on electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and circuit troubleshooting
- Skilled in welding techniques with certification preferred
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing settings
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and building systems
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals effectively
- Background in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across teams and lead small groups when necessary
