Eau Claire Athletic Club is a 110,000 sq. ft. private social and athletic club in downtown Calgary. The amenity offering supports Members in their pursuit of social connection, athletic performance and total health and wellness.

We are seeking a General Manager to support a growing membership, elevate the Member experience, work with a strong team to protect a positive culture, and drive operational efficiency.

www.ecathleticclub.ca THE ROLE The General Manager is the senior operator of the Club and provides leadership across all operating departments: Food and Beverage, Member Services, Athletics, Aquatics, Housekeeping, Childminding, and Maintenance.

The role is to plan and direct the day-to-day operation, exceed Member expectations at every touchpoint, deliver solid and efficient operating performance, and serve as the front face of the Club for Members, guests, and staff.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lead. Represent the Club and be the front face for Members, future Members, and staff.

Elevate. Set clear expectations and thoughtful plans so the Member experience rises and friction falls.

Inspire. Protect the original vision: a social and athletic club where Members simply walk through the door and, through our people and amenities, build or maintain positive change for their whole self.

Drive. Treat every step, every hour, and every process as something to be considered and challenged. Exceptional efficiency is part of the standard.

Immaculate. Ensure every touchpoint and every visual is considered and maintained on the right frequency.

Develop. Make time for emerging talent and put growth opportunities in front of those who can carry the Club.

Finance. Own the operating numbers. Review labour, accounts receivable,



and accounts payable; keep labour inside the budgeted plan; and ensure money owed to the Club is collected when it is due.

WHAT YOU BRING

Eight or more years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel or private club, including leadership of multiple departments. This is a career span, not a requirement of eight years already in a General Manager seat.

Proven, direct leadership of Front Office / Guest Services or Member Services, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, labour, and operating results.

Demonstrated ability to market and sell the Club — membership, dining, programs, and the standard of the Club

Post-secondary education in hospitality, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience raising or holding standards in a growing or evolving operation.

Polished, confident, and personable, with a presence appropriate for a five-star club.

A competitive annual salary of $125,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, together with a benefits package.

The role is full-time and on-site in Calgary. Evenings, weekends, and peak periods are part of the rhythm of the Club.
