Expert Geophysics Surveys Inc. provides airborne electromagnetic and magnetic surveys for mineral exploration projects worldwide. Headquartered in Newmarket, Ontario, we are seeking a Geophysicist for a remote position supporting the processing, quality control, and interpretation of airborne survey data.

The successful candidate will work with airborne geophysical survey data, helping turn field measurements into datasets, technical reports, and geological interpretations for subsurface exploration projects. This role requires a robust foundation in geophysical principles, careful attention to data quality, and the ability to work effectively with both field and office teams.

Job Type: This is a full-time role consisting of 40 hours per week. There is an existing vacancy for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process and perform quality control on airborne geophysical data

· Prepare maps, sections, grids, databases, and other client deliverables

· Assist with data inversion and integrate results with available geological and exploration information





· Prepare clear technical figures and contribute to survey and interpretation reports

· Work with field and office teams to maintain consistent data quality from acquisition through delivery

· Support survey planning and travel to field projects when required

Qualifications

· Degree in geophysics, Earth science, or a closely related discipline, with a strong foundation in geophysical principles

· Minimum 3 years of experience processing geophysical data

· Experience with Geosoft Oasis montaj and GIS software

· Programming or scripting skills for data processing, analysis, or workflow automation

· Strong attention to data quality and the ability to investigate and resolve technical problems

· Clear written communication skills and the ability to explain technical results

· Ability to learn new methods and software, and to work effectively with colleagues across field operations, processing, and interpretation

· Legally entitled to work in Canada

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
