About the Role

We're seeking a Nutritional Labeling Specialist with deep expertise in global food and nutrition labeling regulations to help guide the continued development and improvement of our labeling software platform. You'll serve as the subject matter expert bridging regulatory requirements with product functionality — ensuring our software stays accurate, current, and compliant across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the internal SME on nutritional labeling regulations across multiple countries/regions (e.g., US FDA/NLEA, EU FIC Regulation, Canada CFIA, Codex Alimentarius, Australia/NZ FSANZ, UK FSA, and other target markets)
- Review, validate, and continuously update labeling rule sets, nutrient databases, and compliance logic within the software
- Partner with product managers and engineers to translate regulatory requirements into software specifications and feature enhancements
- Monitor global regulatory changes and proactively recommend software/content updates to maintain compliance
- Conduct QA/accuracy reviews of generated labels (nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, claims, etc.) against country-specific standards
- Support customers/clients with labeling questions, edge cases, and market-specific compliance guidance
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, guidelines,



and training materials on labeling rules by country
- Collaborate with legal/regulatory affairs teams on interpretation of ambiguous or evolving regulations
- Assist in competitive/regulatory research when expanding software support to current countries or regions

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related field (advanced degree a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in nutritional/food labeling compliance, regulatory affairs, or related role
- Strong working knowledge of labeling regulations across multiple jurisdictions (US, EU, Canada, and additional regions such as APAC, LATAM, or Middle East a plus)
- Experience working with or advising on labeling/compliance software, PLM systems, or nutrient databases
- Ability to translate complex regulatory language into clear, actionable software requirements
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working cross-functionally with engineering/product teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

- Experience with labeling software platforms (e.g., Genesis R&D;, ESHA, FoodLogiQ, or similar)
- Familiarity with allergen management, claims substantiation, and front-of-pack labeling schemes
- Prior experience supporting software product development or QA testing
- Certification in regulatory affairs (e.g., RAC) a plus
