Join u-blox, a global leader in positioning technology, as a GNSS Engineering Intern in our Positioning Services Business Unit. You’ll work alongside experienced GNSS engineers to solve real customer problems and contribute directly to products used by customers around the world.

As a GNSS Engineering Intern, you’ll be a member of a product team - not working on a separate intern project. You'll participate in the team's day-to-day work, contribute your ideas, receive candid feedback, and take ownership of meaningful engineering problems appropriate to your experience. This is a remote opportunity, with a Calgary-based engineering community that gets together regularly to collaborate and connect in person.

Our teams work across a range of GNSS technologies - from AssistNow assisted GNSS and PointPerfect high-precision correction services to R&D; shaping the next generation of positioning products and services. Where you contribute will depend on the problems we're solving and where your interests and skills are the best fit.

Your Responsibilities

- Work as a member of a product team developing and improving GNSS products and services
- Understand and solve real customer and product problems using data, experimentation and engineering analysis
- Prototype, develop and test GNSS algorithms and software
- Analyze GNSS performance and identify opportunities to improve our products
- Use C/C++, Python or MATLAB for product development, analysis and testing.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency and performance
- Take ownership of meaningful engineering problems while collaborating with engineers across our teams

What You Bring





- Currently pursuing a BSc, MSc or MEng in Geomatics Engineering
- Foundational knowledge of GNSS positioning through coursework, research or hands-on projects
- Strong foundation in mathematics, physics and engineering problem solving
- Programming experience with C/C++, MATLAB, Python or similar languages
- Curiosity and a willingness to dig into complex technical problems and understand the "why" behind them
- Familiar with the AI tools and how to use them for improving efficiency
- Ability to communicate ideas, ask questions, give and receive feedback, and collaborate effectively with others

Experience through coursework, research or projects with areas such as high-precision GNSS, RTK, PPP, estimation, GNSS data analysis or positioning algorithms is an advantage.
