GRADE 8/9 ENGLISH, SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER AND COLLABORATIVE SUPPORT TEACHER Gid G alang K uuyas Naay Secondary School An employment chance exists for a TEMPORARY Part-Time (0.857 FTE) Grade 8/9 English, Social Studies Teacher & Collaborative Support Teacher effective as soon as possible to the full return of the incumbent or no later than June 30, 2027 at GidGalang Kuuyas Naay Secondary School.

Requirements

- A university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position;
- Understanding and being committed to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
- High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
- Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students' strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;

- Working with the learning services and administrative team to collaboratively develop and implement Individual Education Plans and Behavior Plans;
- Knowledge of school-based teams;




- Demonstrated ability in creating safe inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;

- Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
- Understanding of local resources and environment;
- Teacher Regulation Branch certification.

Competitive Salary: $103,030 - $64,631 per annum Remote and Rural Allowance: $3,000 per annum

Travel Allowance: $1,034 per annum

Up to $2,000 relocation allowance upon submission of receipts
