Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Greenhouse Supervisor to oversee daily greenhouse operations, lead labor teams, and ensure high quality crop production. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish to effectively manage, train, and communicate with our diverse workforce, ensuring high standards for crop health, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Communication

- Directly supervise, train, and coordinate day-to-day activities for greenhouse labor teams (planting, crop care, harvesting, and packing).
- Provide clear, daily instruction and guidance in both Spanish and English to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Translate operational instructions, safety guidelines, and company announcements for Spanish-speaking crew members.
- Manage worker schedules, daily task assignments, time tracking, and productivity monitoring.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and safe work environment, resolving basic workplace issues or escalation when necessary.

Crop Management & Production

- Monitor crop growth, plant health, moisture levels, and environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation).
- Assist the Head Grower with irrigation schedules, fertilizer applications, and integrated pest management (IPM)

- Identify pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies early and execute corrective measures as directed.
- Ensure proper execution of crop cultural practices, including pruning, training, spacing, and harvesting.

Quality Control & Compliance

- Inspect harvested products to ensure adherence to company quality, grade, and packaging standards.
- Enforce compliance with agricultural safety regulations, Worker Protection Standards (WPS), food safety protocols (GAP), and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and equipment checks.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Language: Professional fluency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written) is required.
- Experience: 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in commercial greenhouse production, agriculture, or horticulture preffered
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of greenhouse crop production, plant health, pest identification, and irrigation systems.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct a diverse field/greenhouse workforce.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 40–50 lbs, and work in warm/humid greenhouse environments for extended periods.
- Certifications (Preferred): Pesticide Applicator’s License or Food Safety Certification (GAP/SQF) is a solid plus.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 55.0 per week
