The Job: Equipment Maintenance, Repair and Safety

· Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment.

· Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

· Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.

· Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance and repair records.

· Coordinate specialized repairs and parts requirements with supervisors, operators and external vendors.

· Identify and report equipment deficiencies,



safety concerns and maintenance requirements.

· Use tools, equipment and personal protective equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.

· Maintain a clean, organized and properly equipped work area while supporting a strong safety culture across shop, yard and field operations.

What Skills and Training Do You Need?

· Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification.

· 5+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.

· Vacuum Truck experience is an asset.

· Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License required with clean abstract.

· Excellent safety record and a commitment to safe work practices.

· Willingness to provide references, consent to a criminal record check and complete pre-employment alcohol & drug testing.

· Must be able to work out of town on a rotational schedule.
