Duties

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing.
- Weld, assemble, disassemble, and replace mechanical components using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform repairs on wiring, sensors, switches, and control panels.
- Operate heavy machinery during testing phases to ensure proper functioning after repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders,



and inspection reports to track equipment history and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role within a dealership or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and agricultural equipment.
- Skilled in welding, assembly work, electrical troubleshooting, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and automotive repair guides effectively.
- Experience with Caterpillar or other major equipment brands is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Valid certification in mechanical repair or diesel technology is preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 72.0 per week
