Elirpa Construction & Materials Limited is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position working on municipal infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects throughout Durham Region and surrounding areas.
Our work includes road reconstruction, sewer and watermain construction, site servicing, excavation, grading, and other municipal infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a dependable and experienced operator who takes pride in their work, operates equipment safely and efficiently, and works well as part of a construction crew.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy construction equipment, primarily excavators, loaders and bulldozers
- Works include: watermains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, services, structures, and road construction
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience operating equipment in heavy civil construction
- Experience with road, sewer and watermain construction is strongly preferred
- Experience excavating around existing utilities and working in active construction sites
- Knowledge of safe trenching and excavation practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid safety training/certifications considered an asset
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
