We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated High School Science Teacher to provide engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with the Ontario Secondary School Science curriculum.

The successful candidate will support students in developing solid scientific knowledge, critical-thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in Science.

Courses The teacher may be responsible for teaching courses including:

- SNC1W – Grade 9 Science
- SNC2D / SNC2P – Grade 10 Science
- SBI3U / SBI3C – Grade 11 Biology
- SCH3U / SCH3C – Grade 11 Chemistry
- SPH3U / SPH3C – Grade 11 Physics
- SVN3M / SVN3E – Grade 11 Environmental Science
- SBI4U – Grade 12 Biology
- SCH4U / SCH4C – Grade 12 Chemistry
- SPH4U / SPH4C – Grade 12 Physics
- SES4U – Grade 12 Earth and Space Science
- SNC4M – Grade 12 Science

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons based on Ontario curriculum expectations.
- Plan lessons, activities, assessments, and review sessions.
- Explain scientific concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning needs.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress.
- Prepare students for tests, exams, assignments, and laboratory/scientific investigations.
- Develop students' problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Maintain a positive, respectful,



and supportive learning workplace.
- Communicate effectively with students and, where applicable, parents/guardians.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching experience at the high-school level is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of the Ontario Secondary School Science curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ontario teaching certification (OCT) is an asset .
