We are seeking a motivated and dependable Local Driver to join our team in. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for operating various types of vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment, to support our daily operations.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment, to transport freight within the local region.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other necessary equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of freight.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.
- Verify delivery documentation, track shipments, and ensure accurate record-keeping for all transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols,



and company policies to ensure a safe working workplace at all times.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and equipment operation.

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation within a local setting.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; CDL certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on-site.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy freight and operating machinery safely.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.
