Fleetex Transport is a well-established transportation company based in Bolton, Ontario. We are currently expanding our team and hiring for three full-time, permanent positions:
- Day Shift Dispatcher – Cross-Border Trucking
- After Hours Dispatcher – Cross-Border Trucking
- Accounting Administrator – Transportation & Logistics
We are looking for experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals who can work effectively in a fast-paced transportation environment. POSITION 1: DAY SHIFT DISPATCHER – CROSS-BORDER TRUCKING The Day Shift Dispatcher will coordinate daily transportation operations, dispatch drivers, book trucks, plan routes, communicate with customers and carriers, and ensure shipments move efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of inbound and outbound freight while staying up to date with daily priorities and transportation targets.
- Dispatch trucks and book carriers independently.
- Plan efficient routes for domestic and cross-border shipments.
- Coordinate FTL and LTL shipments.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers throughout their shifts.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational issues.
- Update customers regarding shipment status, delivery times, and delays.
- Communicate with brokers, carriers, and customers to resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor road conditions, construction, accidents, and other factors that may affect deliveries.
- Adjust routes and schedules as required.
- Obtain freight rates and negotiate with carriers, brokers, and logistics service providers.
- Analyze lane data, transportation costs, and on-time performance.
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Track and expedite shipments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate driver records, timesheets, and payroll summaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Day Dispatcher Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or dispatch.
- Cross-border trucking experience required.
- Experience with FTL and LTL shipments.
- Strong knowledge of North American geography.
- Ability to book trucks independently and plan routes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly.
- Automotive freight experience is an asset.
- English required; Punjabi or Hindi is an asset.
POSITION 2: AFTER HOURS DISPATCHER – CROSS-BORDER TRUCKING The After Hours Dispatcher will be responsible for managing transportation operations during evening, night, and weekend hours. This individual must be comfortable working independently, communicating with drivers and customers,
and making timely decisions when operational issues arise outside regular business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage after-hours dispatch operations independently.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight during evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- Dispatch trucks and book carriers as required.
- Plan routes for domestic and cross-border shipments.
- Maintain communication with drivers throughout their shifts.
- Address routing, scheduling, breakdown, delivery, and other operational issues.
- Monitor road conditions, construction, accidents, weather, and other delays.
- Revise routes and schedules when necessary.
- Update customers regarding shipment status and delays.
- Communicate with brokers, carriers, and customers to resolve discrepancies.
- Track and expedite shipments when necessary.
- Handle urgent transportation issues and make sound decisions during after-hours operations.
- Maintain accurate driver records, timesheets, and payroll summaries.
- Ensure accurate transportation documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
After Hours Dispatcher Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or dispatch.
- Cross-border trucking experience required.
- Previous after-hours, evening, night, or independent dispatch experience is an asset.
- Experience with FTL and LTL shipments.
- Strong knowledge of North American geography and cross-border lanes.
- Ability to book trucks independently and plan efficient routes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly.
- Automotive freight experience is an asset.
- English required; Punjabi or Hindi is an asset.
After Hours Schedule Evening, night, and weekend shifts.
The successful candidate must be available for after-hours coverage and comfortable making independent decisions when required.
POSITION 3: ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR – TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTICS The Accounting Administrator will provide accounting and administrative support for Fleetex Transport, with a focus on transportation-related accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer invoicing, carrier/vendor invoices, driver payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process carrier and vendor invoices accurately and on time.
- Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare payments and reconcile accounts payable ledgers.
- Issue customer invoices based on freight and transportation services provided.
- Apply customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable aging reports and assist with collections.
- Handle driver pay for drivers operating across Canada and the United States.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as required.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Liaise with internal departments, customers, carriers, brokers, and vendors regarding financial matters.
- Maintain accurate and confidential accounting, payroll, and customer records.
- Perform general administrative duties and assist with ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Accounting Administrator Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and payroll.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced transportation environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability.

Compensation
Dispatcher Positions: $55,000–$65,000 per year, negotiable for the right candidate.
Accounting Administrator: Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
