Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport frac sand to various job sites and facilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of all trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delivery updates, and any issues encountered during routes
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation of freight at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or freight transportation
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading/unloading machinery safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in the trucking industry
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Solid communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment as required
