WHO WE ARE The Vancouver Club is a distinguished private members club nestled in downtown Vancouver. Established in 1893, the Club has a rich history and a commitment to exceptional service offering an array of amenities, including dining, function spaces, accommodations, and fitness facilities. JOB OVERVIEW

As a representative of The Vancouver Club, you must present yourself in a professional manner at all times. The shift is through the night, making you a self starter, and someone that holds themselves accountable to the tasks that need to be accomplished before the club opens in the morning.

The Clubs House

Porter is responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the Club thoroughly, with the key aim of enhancing the member experience by having excellent standards of the Club’s appearance. Maintaining the house, fixing and cleaning all areas. Setting all events in a timely manner, according to Event Orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

- Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

- Answer to requests in a timely manner, making sure to always meet The Vancouver Club standards.

Event Set Up
- Set up tables, chairs and other furnitures required for all events in a timely manner based on Event Order and floor plans.





- Follow floor plans and communicate with the catering department if issues or changes need to be addressed.

- Prepare and set up all necessary audio-visual equipment for events, including microphones, speakers, projectors, and projector screens.

- Keep up to date with current events throughout the club.

Cleaning & Maintenance
- Follow daily checklist of ”floor to floor” cleaning.

- Create and work to daily job lists.

- Reset lighting to the current standard.

- Day to day maintenance and repairs.

- Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness in all back-of-house areas and member areas.

- Ensure all areas of the club are serviced and staged to elevate the membership experience.

- Report any maintenance issues immediately to the Director of Facilities including all furniture, fittings and equipment repairs.

- Clean the building's exterior, including sidewalks and the driveway, with provided equipment.

- Hang art and pictures as required.

- Perform all other duties as required.
