We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic HR & Recruitment Intern to help manage our hiring pipeline for youth recreation and sports programs. If you are pursuing a career in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Recreation Management, this role offers hands-on experience in full-cycle screening, candidate coordination, and talent evaluation.

You will play a key role in building our team of youth coaches and camp instructors for our upcoming seasonal programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Top-of-Funnel Screening: Review incoming applications, resumes, and short video submissions against established criteria.
- Phone Screening: Conduct structured 10–15 minute initial phone interviews to evaluate candidate communication, enthusiasm, background check readiness, and schedule availability.
- Trial Coordination: Schedule qualified candidates for live, on-court practical assessments and liaise with the Program Director.
- Candidate Communication: Maintain responsive, professional communication with applicants to ensure a smooth hiring experience.
- Applicant Tracking:



Maintain an up-to-date candidate tracker (Google Sheets) to log candidate status and interview feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of an HR, Business, Sports Management, or related program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a personable, professional phone presence.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- Genuine interest in youth sports, recreation, or community programming.
- Ability to work independently with flexible weekly hours (5–10 hours/week).

Hourly Rate & Perks
- Competitive hourly wage ($18–$20/hour depending on experience).
- Adaptable remote work hours (fits around university or college schedules).
- Direct mentorship from the Program Director and hands-on talent acquisition experience.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 8.0 per week
