Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Administrator to temporarily join our team in Edmonton. The HR Administrator will provide administrative and operational support across a variety of human resources functions, helping ensure our employees have a positive experience throughout their time with the company.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, maintains confidentiality, and takes pride in keeping HR processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, reference checks, and new employee onboarding.
- Employee Support: Serve as a first point of contact for employees regarding general HR questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate resources when needed.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, records, documentation, and HR databases.
- Payroll & Benefits Support: Assist with payroll coordination, employee changes, benefits administration, and related documentation.
- Attendance & Leave Administration: Track employee attendance, vacation, sick leave, and other absences while ensuring records are kept up to date.
- Compliance & Documentation: Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable Alberta employment legislation and ensure required employee documentation is completed and maintained.
- Training & Development: Help coordinate employee training, orientations, certifications,



and professional development activities.
- Employee Communications: Assist with distributing HR-related communications, policies, announcements, and updates.
- Performance Management Support: Assist managers with performance review documentation, tracking, and follow-up.
- General HR Support: Provide administrative assistance on a variety of HR projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in an HR, administrative, or office support role.
- Post-secondary education or training in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Basic understanding of HR practices and employment standards in Alberta.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, or employee management systems is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the team.
- Previous experience in the restoration, construction, or service industry is considered an asset.
