Position The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day operational support across all areas of Human Resources. The HR Generalist is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HR administration, benefits administration, training coordination, health and safety administration, and employee support while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
· Act as the primary HR support for Quebec operations, providing bilingual HR guidance and administration to ensure compliance with provincial legislation, French language requirements, and organizational policies.
· Maintain accurate employee records and information, prepare employment documentation, process employee status changes, and ensure confidentiality of all employee information.
· Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including but not limited to, preparing job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating onboarding, supporting new hire orientations, and scheduling/managing the process of exit interviews.
· Administer employee benefit enrollments and changes, coordinate disability leaves and Return-to-Work programs and respond to employee benefit-related inquiries.
· Coordinate Health & Safety training, maintain safety documentation, support the Joint Health & Safety Committee, coordinate WSIB/WCB/CNESST documentation, and track required employee training.
· Collaborate with management to initiate and coordinate all training activities, maintain training records, and support performance review administration.
· Support HR documentation compliance with applicable legislation, assist with policy implementation, and maintain legislative compliance records.
· Respond to employee inquiries, support managers with routine HR matters, and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager.
· Support HR projects, prepare reports, coordinate HR events, and perform other duties as assigned.
· Facilitate the training and development of management and employees by coordinating and delivering training;
· Assist with the development, implementation and administration of compensation and benefits systems;
· Assist with the development, interpretation and regular review of company policies and procedures;
· Manage and meticulously maintain employee records and other human resources data systems in compliance with the law and Rolark policies and procedures;
· Manages all IT and security training
· Other responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
· University Degree in Human Resources Management
· Must have 2+ years’ experience working in an HR Generalist role or 1-3 years of progressive HR experience.
· Must have excellent knowledge of current employment legislation
· Must be Bilingual (English & French)
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & French)
· Must have excellent time management and be able to manage competing deadlines in a busy role
· Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
· CHRP Designation an asse
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
