Stellantis Financial Services SFS is the new captive finance company for one of the worlds leading automakers and a mobility provider with iconic brands including Abarth Alfa Romeo Chrysler Citron Dodge DS Automobiles Fiat Jeep Lancia Maserati Opel Peugeot Ram Vauxhall Free2move and Leasys Our exciting growth provides opportunities to advance your career as we successfully lead products and services from a small to midsize company in just a few years Join our world class team and culture and contribute to our core mission which is enhancing our customers experience Position Summary The Associate Director Canadian Indirect Tax Compliance & Planning will lead the development implementation and management of the Companys Canadian indirect tax function supporting its motor vehicle leasing and related service operations This position will establish a scalable compliance framework implement indirect tax technology solutions and ensure accurate tax determination collection reporting and remittance across all Canadian jurisdictions while providing strategic tax guidance to business stakeholders Serving as the subject matter expert for GSTHST PST QST provincial fees and taxes and vehicle related transaction taxes the successful candidate will oversee the indirect tax implications of leasing activities asset dispositions dealer programs servicing operations and customer transactions This position will design processes and controls that support a growing portfolio optimize the companys tax positions and minimize compliance and audit risk through automation and standardization The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and a hands on builder capable of building a Canadian indirect tax function from the ground up while partnering effectively across Finance Operations IT and executive leadership Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead implementation of Canadian indirect tax functionality within leasing and servicing systemsConfigure and validate tax engines rate tables jurisdictional assignments and exemption processesBuild and implement a comprehensive end to end Canadian indirect tax compliance frameworkLead all indirect tax compliance activities for Canadian leasing operations including GSTHST QST PST and other applicable provincial taxesManage the preparation review and filing of indirect tax returns and related remittancesDevelop compliance calendars control matrices and monitoring toolsEnsure proper taxation of lease originations lease payments lease terminations vehicle buyouts early terminations repossessions and vehicle dispositionsOversee tax treatment of dealer incentives servicing fees ancillary products and administrative chargesMonitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting vehicle leasing and financing activities and implement required process changesManage tax audits assessments and inquiries from federal and provincial tax authoritiesDevelop reconciliation processes between source systems tax returns and general ledger accountsServe as the primary Canadian indirect tax resource for Finance Accounting Operations Legal Treasury Dealer Relations and Compliance teamsSupport future growth of the Canadian indirect tax function including process documentation and resource planningRequired Experience Minimum eight 8 years experience in GSTHSTMinimum eight 8 years tax audit andor equivalent experienceStrong working knowledge of Canadian GSTHST PST QST and provincial tax regulationsExperience within automotive finance vehicle leasing financial services transportation or a comparable highly regulated industryDemonstrated success implementing ERP tax engine billing or financial systemsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programsDisplay strong effective analytical skills and reasoningStrong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to multitask effectivelyEffective written and oral communication and interpersonal skillsCapable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines including the ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time sensitive fast paced environmentDemonstrate strong problem solving capabilities with the ability to identify issues and generate creative solutionsEducation Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Overtime required as required on an as needed basis Travel 0 10 as required on an as needed basisMust have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities Atlanta GA;
