Industrial Janitor / Custodian

Reporting to the Branch Manager, or designate the Industrial Janitor/ Custodian is responsible for keeping the office, shop and equipment in clean and orderly condition. This includes heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning interior and exterior of transport trucks and forklifts, all areas of office and active production plant (floors, walls, restrooms, equipment, furniture, windows etc,), , emptying trash bins and restocking consumables throughout facilities, lawn mowing and snow removal for walkways.

Principales responsabilités :

- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
- Wipe down various equipment in production plant.
- Clean up and organize waste materials and items required for production.
- Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
- Scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
- Emptying trash cans, replace liners.
- Washing and drying windows.
- Order cleaning supplies to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products at all times.
- Reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.




- Informing the branch manager of repairs that need to be done.
- Performs all other work activities as assigned and required.
- Run errands as requested by branch manager/designate
- Assure walkways inside and outside of buildings are clean and free from obstructions.

Skills and Experience:

- High School Diploma, GED or Mature Student Diploma
- Relevant and meaningful experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a energetic work environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment
- Demonstrate autonomy, meticulousness and attention to detail
- Sense of organization, planning and priority management
