Kenora, Ontario | Relocation Assistance Available

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Millwright will maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and systems to support safe and reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components
- Complete preventive and routine maintenance on plant machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment failures
- Maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and related industrial equipment
- Use SAP for work orders and materials management
- Perform basic welding and fabrication
- Coordinate contractor activities when required
- Complete assigned work safely and on schedule
- Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized and safe




- Follow all plant safety procedures and operating requirements

Requirements

- Mechanical trade qualification in an applicable discipline
- Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment
- Preventive maintenance and equipment-repair experience
- Basic welding and fabrication capabilities
- Experience using SAP for maintenance work orders
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other computer systems
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
