Role Description The Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Barrie, ON. The Installer is responsible for safely installing glass and aluminum systems such as curtain walls, storefronts, window walls, entry systems, interior glazing, balustrades, and custom shower enclosures according to specifications and building codes. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and preparing openings, handling and transporting glass and materials, using hand and power tools, and ensuring exact, clean installations.

The Installer will work closely with supervisors and team members, read and interpret drawings, maintain a safe and organized work area,



and interact professionally with clients and site personnel. The role may require working at heights, lifting and moving materials, and adapting to various job sites and weather conditions.

Qualifications

- Experience in glass installation, glazing, or related construction trades, with strong skills in measuring, fitting, and securing glass and aluminum components.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools, equipment for cutting and handling glass and metal, and basic knowledge of construction methods and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders, and follow project specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
- Good physical stamina, ability to work at heights and lift materials safely, and adherence to health and safety regulations and safe work practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work in varying site and weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Barrie, ON.
- Prior experience in glazing, window and door installation, or commercial/residential construction is an asset; relevant trade certifications or apprenticeship training are considered an advantage.
