Long Harbour

- Duration: 6 Weeks, up to 12 hour shifts
- Location: Long Harbour, NL
- Must be available for Dayshift/Night Shift
- Successful candidates will be hired in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CLRA and UA Local 740 Collective Agreement, including applicable wage rates, premiums, and advantages.

Role And Responsibilities

- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control equipment.
- Perform testing and calibration of instruments used to measure and control process variables such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues and identify appropriate corrective actions.
- Work with field instrumentation, transmitters, sensors, control valves, actuators, and other process control equipment.
- Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLC and automated control systems.
- Work with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation and control systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs;, schematics, specifications, manuals, and other technical documentation.
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with established maintenance programs and procedures.
- Perform functional testing and verification of instrumentation and control equipment following installation or repair.
- Assist with commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and maintenance activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, calibrations, repairs,



testing, and maintenance activities.
- Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend opportunities to improve system reliability and performance.
- Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, engineering, operations, and other project personnel.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

- Completion of a recognized Instrumentation and Control Technician program
- Journeyperson certification in Instrumentation and Controls
- Previous experience in an industrial, construction, maintenance, commissioning, manufacturing, oil and gas, mining, utilities, or similar environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, process measurement, and control systems.
- Experience using calibration, diagnostic, and electrical testing equipment. Valid WHMIS 2015 is considered an asset
- Valid Fall Protection is considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments and complying with site-specific safety requirements.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to project or client sites as required.
- Ability to successfully complete all required pre-access requirements, including drug and alcohol testing and a medical questionnaire, as required for site access.
