Responsibilities

- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computers, peripherals, and network devices including LAN (Local Area Network) configurations.
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets using ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Monitor and maintain computer networking components like firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and LANs to ensure secure connectivity.
- Assist with software troubleshooting, operating system updates, and hardware replacements to minimize downtime.
- Support network security protocols by configuring firewalls and managing VPN access for remote users.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT support processes and document procedures effectively.

Requirements

- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a solid understanding of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Solid knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, firewall configuration, VPN management, and troubleshooting network issues.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for incident tracking and resolution.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to desktop applications and hardware components efficiently.
- Experience supporting remote access solutions and remote troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of security best practices including firewall management and VPN security protocols is a plus.
