Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Italian Speaking Home Support Worker to provide exceptional in-home care for clients requiring assistance with daily activities. This role offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and their families. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will deliver personalized support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being within the comfort of clients’ homes.

Fluency in Italian is essential to effectively communicate and build trusting relationships with our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

- Provide personalized patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene routines
- Support clients with medication administration and health monitoring to ensure safety and adherence to care plans
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met and dietary restrictions are followed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
- Help clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper safety protocols




- Document care activities accurately and communicate any changes in condition to supervising healthcare professionals

Experience

- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Proven background in patient care, senior care, hospice support or working with individuals with disabilities or dementia
- Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning
- Experience supporting clients with mobility challenges or requiring heavy lifting assistance
- Strong communication skills in Italian; proficiency in English is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to home care services
